解釈 / Interpretation

「いつも」(第三、2017) と「堅く守り」(第二）はギリシャ語の　προσκαρτερέω (proskartereo)　から翻訳されていて、「専念する」と言ういみです。確認のため、この「専念する」と言う翻訳はロマ１３：６、と同じ使徒の働きの６：４ではっきり見えます。

The word “continue” or “be devoted to” (depending on the translation) in this verse comes from the Greek word προσκαρτερέω (proskartereo), and means “devote oneself to.” For confirmation, you can see the translation “devote oneself to” clearly in Romans 13:6, as well as within the context of Acts 6:4.

先の使徒の働き６：２〜４の話にはギリシャの未亡人が食卓の配りに対して問題がおこります。この食卓の配りはもちろん大事ですが、使徒達は神の御言葉を食卓のために「後回し」にしてはいけないと答えます。

In the context of Acts 6:2~4 above, a problem arises with the food distribution to the Greek widows. While this food distribution is of course important, the apostles declare that they must not “forsake” the “Word of God” for serving tables.

ここで使徒達は初めて「しつじ」を任命して、食卓の配りに使わせたのです。だから、「しつじ」の目的は長老達を聖書と祈りに専念する事が出来るように自由にさせるのです。

This is where the apostles first appointed “deacons” in order to carry out the food distribution. Therefore, the purpose of deacons is to free up the elders so that they can devote themselves to teaching and prayer.

この三つの専念していたものは次の通りです / These three things were as follows：

• 教 / Teaching
• 交わり / Fellowship
• 祈り / Prayer

適用 / Application

この三の事は教会の命となります。他の事はこれらにくらべて何も構いません。次回でもっと詳しく見ていきます。

These three things are the lifeblood of the church, and all other things pale in comparison to them. We will look at these in more detail next time.

「いつ」、「どこで」、「週に何回」とかは別にかまいません。使徒の働き２：４６を見ると彼は神殿でも家でも集まっていました。そして、回数に対しては毎日集まっていました。

“When”, “where”, and “how often” are not important. In Acts 2:46, we see that they were meeting both in the Temple, and in their houses. And in terms of frequency, they were gathering every day.

私たちはよく「形」を「目的」と誤解し、ルールとゴールを誤解してしまいます。でも、大事なのは形じゃなくて、中心な目的なのです。

We too often confuse the form for the purpose, and the rules for the goal. But the form is not important. It is the heart and the purpose that are important.
